Behind the scenes of the epic Castle Rock Crawfish Boil.

It all started with a simple Facebook post. A post that said something along the lines of “I wish Castle Rock had an annual Crawfish Boil.” Within minutes, local business owners started chiming in “Let’s do it, I’ll be happy to host,” said George Goodman of Burly Brewing Co.

Several mins later, Beau from Rocky Mountain Precision Services said “I can cook a great Boil, I’d love to help,” and from there, the Castle Rock Crawfish Boil was born.

The 1st Annual Castle Rock Crawfish Boil will kick off at Burly Brewing Co at 11:00 AM. CRCO launched a series of pre-sale ‘all you can eat tickets,’ which sold out very quickly in addition to ‘by the pound,’ which still are available on their website.

Not a fan of Crawfish? No problem, Brandon Cant (Co-Organizer) of Coast2Coast Food Truck will also be serving up the following:

• Chicken and Sausage Gumbo
• Cajun Shrimp Tacos with Mango Salsa
• Red Beans and Rice with Sausage
• Bread Pudding with rye barrel aged rye Porter caramel sauce

When local business owners and passionate residents collaborate, big things happen and we’re sure this new tradition will live long, with many years of fun to come!
